Hello Sir/Madam, I am Piyush Maru and i am learning Win Nt and Win 2k administration also i am working in NIIT institute which is having a network of WIN NT and Win 2k. I want to send message to all the computers that are in a domain, but sometimes all the machines are not on (that is some are switched off and some are logged off) so whati want is a command or batch file to send messages only to them who are working on the PC. I also have a problem in accessing the terminal server using terminal server client from the client machine when I login as an ordinary user but if I login as administrator I can access terminal server So plz help me. Hope i will soon receive a reply from your side.....

I am trying to use the net send command to send to a single user on a network. Everytime I try to send an error report shows the user cannot be found on the network when both computers are logged on. Do I have to restart the net send command? I am a beginner at the language and am curious as to start and run different commands.

Does this user actually have to be logged on ? I tried this in order to tell someone to run an antivirus on a certain file but it came up with NET SEND ERROR 2273 what is wrong ?

I am trying to querry all nodes on my Domain for certain file names. Essentially, I'm trying to scan the WINNT directory on all my domain user computers looking for certain files. Is there a way to automate this?

Try the following syntax and you will be able to send messages to all the computers except for those who are not logged onto the network.
